Anybody read or reading it?

I am at the moment and all i can say is what an absolute tool. He fucking loves himself so much. It is a really good read but i can't imagine what it would be like to meet him in real life.

Is this the autobiograph from about 8 years ago Confused

If so, yes.

IMO he is nowhere near as up himself as Rossi.

I read it and it made me lose all respect i had for him and his racing achievements. Now whenever i see him, i just think 'what a cock!'
I never get the impression that Rossi is full of himself in the same way as Foggy, and even if he is, the bum faced Italian monkey is a racing GOD!

Haven't read Foggy's, never felt the need - I never liked the guy anyway - okay, he was good on a Superbike.....

Hislop's biography was an interesting read though, enjoyed that.

Yeh it is quite old. Didn't know Rossi was up himself, fair play to him though as he is in a different league to every one else. Laughing

The thing is, Rossi has constantly proved that he actually has a reason to be up himself, although I don't really think he is.

I read that book and quite enjoyed it, the fact that he was one of my favourite riders made me enjoy it a bit more. Then we bumped into him at Brands Hatch last year and I realised what a complete twat he really is. He was a few feet in front of us, we asked him for an autograph (like you do), what did he do? Ran as fast as he could into the back of a car and drove off, not even a "Sorry mate got to run", he just ignored us. Fucking clown.

I've read it too.

He does come across a bit full of it, but then it probably comes with the job.

Still, can't judge someone until you meet them Thumbs Up

I met Foggy at the BSB at Donington in 1998 I think it was...
queued up for his autograph for 40 mins in the rain, he then walked out as he was getting fed up and said he would be back in about 1-2 hours..... as the queue was so long I stayed in it till he returned, waited another 30 mins to get to him where he pretty much ignored what I had to say (think I told him he should have bopped Chili as it was week after Chili kicked off at him for that off he had on the final bend that time) and then my bird asked for his autograph afterwards and that Michaela bint wife of his gave me bird death stares.... nob.
still think he is a genius though.

Don't get me wrong, Rossi is fantastic - but he is a show off! Thats what I meant.

Was watching the GP the other day when he crossed the line and did the violin thing. I thought WTF, then the commentator explained it Italy it means - Now you're dancing to my tune!

I nearly pissed myself laughing Laughing

Maybe Foggy just got miserable in his old age - I don't think he does quite as well these days.

I seem to remember him as a.....champion of champions? I think he won sportsman of the year after his 5th title too.

I think to be good at something you need to have a bit of a selfish need to win side like McEnroe.

Pleasant people who care about other people are less likely to have that self belief and drive to fuck everyone else over.

I think anyone who enjoyed doing autographs for adoring fans is a bit sad if they need someone else to tell them they are great. I can understand people doing it out of a sense of duty but being interested in what every fan has to say must be a bit difficult.

Well you can't argue with the bloke can you? He was 4 seconds behind at one point then look what he did to Barros and Roberts! I know everyone says it but the bloke really is on another planet. Obviously it must go to your head being told how great you are etc... But I think he handles himself very well.

I have met Foggy. I lined up to get him to sign a copy of his autobiography and he seemed fairly pleasant, however once I read it I changed my opinion of him and sold it on ebay.

The difference between him and Rossi is that Rossi has fun doing what he does, he entertains the crowd and when he doesnt win he just shrugs his shoulders and gets on with it. When Foggy lost it was always someone elses fault, or his tyres weren't right or some other excuse. I hate the way he promotes his Petronas team. What a pile of poo that has turned out to be and he was full of it when he took it on.

I watched the Foggy Petronas Against All Odds DVD yesterday and thought it was pretty good.
His missus said she used to keep out of his way on Sundays aka raceday Evil or Very Mad. Laughing

I have alot of respect for the guy, seems very down to earth.

Its that kind of singlemindedness I wish more brit sportsmen had, then we might win more
