Do such things exist?

My forks look like they could do with some paint, what paint is up to the job?

Also is there such a think as paint for the exhaust pipes? (That can stand the heat)

Just a thought.

Cheers I will go one lunch time this week.

The forks are a silver colour (ie the bottom part of the forks, not the stainless steel bit that goes inside).

Right, first, before you actually go and buy a can of hammerite.

Do not paint your forks.
They have to be very smooth - infact some new bikes come with fancy coatings like 'titanium nitride' etc, that reduce stiction, or make them slide up and down easier.
However the main issue is that the fork oil seal will start to become damaged if it does not have a perfectly smooth profile - and pitting in that area won't help either.
If you have a look in MCN or have a chat with a local workshop you should be able to find some places that do 'rechroming'.

Becareful of BBQ paint; while some paints can withstand the tempreture, a lot can't withstand that tempreture for a sustained period, so will flake off fairly quickly.

I bought proper exhaust paint and it flaked off in no time. So i tried BBQ spray paint from Do It All and it seems to be holding up so far. Obviously theres no guarantees, but its working fine for me, (and it looks nice and shiny too!).

Its not the inside part of the forks.

Its the exterior part of the forks).

The high temp paint from halfords @ 5.99 worked really well on my exhaust, I rubbed the old paint off, and sprayed it with the halfords stuff, and its come out really nice. I would recommend it.

mondeokid,
I used Hammerite on the inside of my swing arm, it stuck like shite to a blanket and did seem to resist chips for about a year (8000mls). Better than the original attempt made by Yamaha.
Halfrods Exhaust paint is also cool. But make sure the parts are free of dirt, loose bits and grease before painting or it will flake off. (But you knew that bit.)

Ah, that should be fine to paint with what you want pretty much.
The stanchion (upper bit that slides up and down) is the bit you can't paint.

Should we not say, The 'Rod' slides inside the 'Cylinder Housing'?

What if the forks are mounted the other way around wouldn't the Stanchion be fixed to the wheel and the other part go up and down?

Just splitting a few hairs to add to everyones confusion as seems to be the trend here.
