Late insurance claim?

I've just been routing through old paperwork and found my bro's insurance document for my old bike. It says he was covered TPFT at the time my bike got stolen. Could i make a claim now as it happened in May.

Worth a shot?

Hi

If it is his own policy covering the bike specifically and they knew who owned it at the time (might get complicated otherwise) then yes he can claim.

Whether he wants to loose his no claims and get hit for higher insurance is another question.

I can't imagine the insurance company are going to be impressed with a 3-month delay. If you get anything back, i'd be suprised, but if you manage to, then you surely have got a way with words!

Well I guess we've nothing to lose by trying. He doesn't do bikes anymore, so losing the no claims will be no biggy as the insurance companies don't give a fuck about bike-no-claims.
