I am riding on square tyres at the moment and it is so annoying as it feels like i almost hit a corner on the tyre, i would be going round a corner lean it over and the bike wont move then suddenly on its side strange feeling.

Also it is so smooth in the middle of the tyre that i have to be so gentle on the back break as yesterday i locked it and i wasnt even breaking hard!

Anyway when i can afford new tyres how do i scrub them in? as i dont want to go for KD and have them slip out on me.
Also how much am i looking at for some decent road racing tyres?

CBR600F BTW

If your tyre's that knackered you'd better steer clear of the local friendly constabulary for a while... Shocked

Just ride steadily for a hundred miles or so. If a bike has had the same tyres for a year and it's never been leant over to the edge, it's exactly as it's unscrubbed.

So simply take it easy, building up lean angles. But don't overly worry about it.

My guide is to use a full tank of fuel on roads that you would normally ride (not motorway/dual carridge way) just take it easier than you would normally.

This way the tyres get scrubbed in all over, so no nasty surprizes later on Thumbs Up
