Just got my renewal reminder through so I thought I would do the usual and phone them with "I have a cheaper quote" can they match it.

Well they matched it ok and I was just about to pay when the guy tells me that a requirement of the policy is that I ensure the Oxford monster lock and chain are always fitted to the bike when left unattended.

Do What??? Has anyone ever heard anything so stupid. Especially his suggestions that I carry it under the pillion seat. Yea right, in a R6, I can squeeze it in next to the half a sandwich I manage to squeeze in there. Or maybe I can remove the datatool to get a bit more room. The highlight was the suggestion that I slung it over my shoulder. Now this is with a very well known insurance broker with a household name insurance company.

It would seem some insurance companies do not have the faintest idea about what they are insuring.

Do they do personal insurance too? Laughing
that does sound a bit out of order, i thought that it was only if the lock is used at the home only, do they expect you to garage it when you are travelling or visiting friends/relitives!
