Right set off to work this morning after warming her up nicely. Travel for about 30 miles when the bike starts to feel like it's running out of petrol chugging away still moving but throwing pissy little fits splurting. So, I pull over to check the fuel, plenty of fuel in there. Get to work bike does same on way home luckily only having to travel 8 miles or so. anyone know what this could be? help please.

Water in the tank or carb? Try draining the carb (little screw at the very bottom of it), and catch what comes out. Let what you caught settle and you will see if there is water in there (the petrol will float on top of any water).

Could it be something to do with the spark plug cap getting damp? I've heard that this can result in spluttering. I know this is a common thing with some bikes but i suppose it could happen to any bike if it gets wet enough.

My bike does that all the goddamn time, I'm off to see if it's water soon, and maybe get a new sparky. Last time it was water and my bike wouldn't start at all!

Hope you get sorted soon Thumbs Up Thumbs Up
