This stuff does work although have to be careful washing it off. Best for grotty engines. Would keep it away from bits that need lubrication, bearings etc. From experience best not done on a tarmac drive (tarmac is oil based, oil from the bike/car breaks it up Rolling Eyes).

I know what your talking about richy , and that stuff is no good , just a waste of your money. If im right your thinking of engine flush? it supposadly cleanes your carbs and jets *etc* i would bother buying any .

And for the other people i work in a trade centre and we sell that *GUNK* so if anyone needs any give us a bell as it should be cheaper than anywhere else.

If you're on about Redex or similar, I know for a fact it decokes engines pretty satisfactorily. The carburettor cleaning claims I am more sceptical about.

Then and again, I'm pretty certain stripping and cleaning a carburettor isn't quite the same chore as manually decoking a cylinder head - cleaning the carburettor was never a problem.

The cheapshit redex ones are solvent based and at best will clean a carb out but nothing else

the decent ones like forte treatments are non solvent base and most definatly do work right through the system.
there are two different treatments on for petrol and one for diesel.
Both treatments start by cleaning in tank pump, fuel lines carb or injector's(the diesel version is great at cleaning diesel injectors). They also de-tar the valve guides and seats, keep the entire piston chamber clean and on the way out decokes the lamba(oxygen sensor).

I can state quite clearly that I use this treatment once every three months in my petrol car and bike, and that where I work diesel emmission MOT failures are common and in the vast majority of case's a can of forte and a good thrash is all they need to make the difference between MOT fail and pass..

this stuff is only availbale through dealers and is the monkeys nuts.

this product is the only engine flush and fuel treatment that is accepted and reccomended by all car makers including LandRover,BMW,Mercedes and Jaguar to name but a few.
