I use th M20 motorway daily and have noticed that they have put up the timed speed cameras.
Middle Finger Middle Finger
So the reason for me writing this is to warn all those that may be going abroad and using the Euro Tunnel. As this is the Mway that you would use to get there just be carefull and keep your speed down between junctions 2 & 3.

These are a nasty way of catching road users out as they time you between the cameras using your average speed. Evil or Very Mad

You have been warned.

Russ, I think the specs cameras are all forward facing at the moment, although this may change in time, so should not affect bikes. Is that the case for these ones?

Specs are forward facing, yellow, with an IR emitter either side like the attached image.

You sure it wasn't traffic master, or even just CCTV that have been fitted? OR the new road tax chasing ones (not sure what system they use)

ACER

These cameras face both ways over each carriage way, going in both directions.
These are apparently only going to be here during roadworks Question Question with a 50 mph limit.

No? Have you got a copy to hand?

Apparantly in MCN this week some company have mysteriously installed permanent SPECS cameras on the M1 motorway. Smile

yes these things are bad they are on the A77/M77 you now have to do the correct speed of face the penalty this is now the worlds biggest speed trap 80 miles.the cameras are miles apart but any 2 can pick your cars time over distances then come the penalty ponts. A guy i work with got 9 points on the road between Ayr and Glasgow on a round trip the first week they went in to use.

but they only face the front of the your bike so we are pretty safe for now Wink

They've been in Northampton for a few years now. Pain in the arse.
