I recently had my rear tyre changed on Bandit 600 and when chain was off (which I knew was on it's last legs) the sprocket teeth are getting rather pointy and needs replacing. The garage I was at quoted £100 for sprocket and chain (didn't get make), are there any brands I should avoid/go for ? ta. Question

Can't really go wrong with Renthal and DiD, but I imagine you're paying for the name. My thought pattern is they have a name for quality and had to make that name.

Probably silly logic, but there you go. What bike is it for?

I'd say Renthal for Sprockets, as I've only ever heard one person (WAlloper) who didn't like it. Got a Renthal sprocket and it's like new. Smile

I've recently had a set of Renthals put on. Try bandcexpress.co.uk for a good price comparison.

Thumbs Up
Ta very much, looks like Busters it is then. Just gotta get someone to fit it now, how long should I expect them to last, no record of it being changed in service history, bought from trade, had done 17k when I bought it and I've notched up another 10k in the last year.. think I'm pretty lucky it hasn't given up the ghost. Shocked
