Ok, when fitting an end can, what things do i need to consider?

The thing is i have a GS500... now i cant find anywhere that do end cans for GS500's. So my theory was to buy an end can for either something around the same power (say ER5) or for the same brand (Suzuki). I dont know if theres anypoint in this or not.

I have found a can on ebay that is only about 5miles from where i am, problem is its for a GSXr600. Now is there anyway this would fit on my GS? What kind of things would i have to consider when fitting it? Mounting bracket, Length, anything else?

Please forgive the newb-esque style of this post but i have never done anything like end cans before. Embarassed Thumbs Up

My other half has successfully grafted specific end cans on to other bikes, like a gsxr600 one on a NC24 and a Kwak one onto a GSXR 750. If you have the guts to hack up exhausts and the facilities to make bits and bobs you may need then it seems completely possible, whether it's worth it or not is up to how much cash you have and how much you enjoy messing around with stuff, I guess Smile

They do just the can's on their own, a choice of alloy, carbon or titanium.

Get yourself down to renegade exhausts in Kent. It is right near Brands Hatch. They'll make you a custom exhaust to fit your bike and it will sound awesome. The one they did on my old XJR400 was awesome. In my opinion no other can came close.

If I remember the bloke who runs it is called Jorge. Give them a ring and see what they say.

Thumbs Up
