found £95 quid today... so i thought "i'll buy a new rear tyre"...

phoned up trying to find a 150/60(18 inch wheel) BT020 (to match the front)

there no longer made.. only 020 i can get is a 160 (which is 2 sizes over stock)

so i have to stick a 010 on it (current set up), which will cost me £103 without fitting.


i hate having an old bike sometimes.

any other tyre makes, that would fit this set-up? (and be as good as 020's?)

Hi

Never seen a BT020 listed in the right size, just the BT010 which is a better tyre than the 020 anyway.

However that is the only tyre (well, BT010 and its "replacement" the BT014) you can still get for the back of the FZR600 in the right size and speed rating.

There are quite a few H rated tyres available for 400s in the right size. However H rated means up to 130 and the FZR600 is quicker than that. Could fail (although probably unlikely just over 130 for a short time, and unlikely you will be holding it over 130 for a long time), but also could cause insurance hassle in the event of a claim (and would be illegal in some countries). The FZR600 should have a V or Z rated tyre.
