Im 17 years old and i live in London, I completed my CBT ON MY 16th birthday (4th Oct 2003), I remember that my CBT certifcate only last for 2 years.

What do I do after my 18th birthday, as in what licences do i need to apply or reapply for if i want to continue riding 125cc motorcycles.

All so I am currently learning to drive a manual car, if i pass my car test will that help in anyway.

Any advice will great ppl thks

You need to retake your CBT, personally I would consider putting the money you are otherwise going to spend on the CBT into doing your test instead.

Passing you car test makes no difference.

You'll need to your CBT again before can take your test (after it expires) AFAIK. Although I can't remember which test is which. Laughing

I think Bendy has put a sticky at the top of this page. That should help you.

You won't be able to ride a bike, Unless the new rules i think (stupid one) If you have a full car licence you can ride any 50cc scooter, I think. Smile

No, the car test has nothing to do with the bike, only difference will be that your licence will be pink and not green.

It was on the news last year, once you pass you're car test you don't need a cbt for a moped. Something like that anyway.

If you passed your car test before Feb 2001 you can ride a 50 without L plates or CBT.

So in your case you will need to pass a bike test or do another CBT.

You can also ride without L plates if you pass your car test after Feb 2001, but need to do a CBT (which will last forever - but only for the 50cc).

As others have said you will need to retake your CBT unless you can pass your bike test before October!
