Does a battery charge in the bike if it is left to idle for a while in neutral? If so how long would it take to give it an adequate charge? Been practicing slow movement control and had to restart the bike quite a few times. Bike starts fine from the kickstart.

most alternators begin to charge at 3000 rpm , depense on max revs . at idle no chance of charging .

Ok, thanks, I'l just kick start it the next time i want to use it and let it charge from that. It wouldn't damage the battery only leaving it partly charged would it? It can turn the engine over about 4-6 times before cutting out.

it will be good to disconnect the + or the - on the battery and give it a slow overnight charge , and if you have no place for that , take off the battery and do it at home . just a thing , the flow of charge must be 10% of the capacity . for ex. if you have a 10Ah , max charge at 1A during 8 to 12 hours , also if you have caps on the battery take them off (also during the charging) and control the liquid level inside the elements ,1/2 inch over the plates (to be completed with distilled water only)

Afraid I don't have a battery charger Sad Just taken off the fairing and it looks like it's a seal battery with no meter on the side.
