I can't remember if NSR's have a prime position on the fuel tap - if it had set it to this position and hopefully that'll ensure that the fuel is running in to the carbs.

Sounds like you're clued up though so i guess it's something more than this.

Are you getting a spark?

Is fuel getting in to the engine?

Does it sound like it's trying to start? i.e. does the starter work?

I take it you've put it onto main tank and not left it on reserve.

Try making sure it's in neutral whilst sitting on the bike with the sidestand up. Put the choke in the off position and pull clutch in. Make sure all lights are off. Thumb the starter and see if it takes after 3 trys. You may have flooded it by now anyway.

Any joy?
