Hi, i've just bought an rs125 and it was running. I had the battery out to charge it and when i put it back in i accidently bridged the power to the frame with the screwdriver and it gave off a spark. I don't know if this is the problem but i don't seem to be getting a spark. Ive had the coil tested and it's fine and earthed well and it's a brand new plug. Any suggestions? Its a 1998 rossi rep with no powervalve.

Hi

Does the bike still turn over on the starter motor? What colour is the coil? Black (later engine) or blue(earlier engine)?

Possible you have fried the ignition system, or part of it. I can try and dig out the specs for testing you ignition system tonight.

All the best

Keith
