Hi,

I was wondering....

lets say you wanted to modify your bike by adding a K&N filter, a dynojet kit and a performance exhaust. Err... what would you do first? this may be a stupid question, but if you get it dynojetted, then add a K&N after, won't it mess up the fueling?

obviously I guess it would be best to do the lot at the same time, but lets imagine you couldn't afford it so wanted to do it gradually.... what would be the best order to do the mods in?

Really want to get them done altogether, so maybe buy them one at a time, but don't fit until you've got them all?

Do look at how much you are spending - ie I've seen people spending over £500 to soup up thier £1000 bike - when for £1500 they could have got a bike that was allround better!

yeah true. But if you don't have 1500 now, just 1000.... then later on you get some cash... I am shocked by how much a dynojet kit costs though, its a few needles/springs/washers/whatever in a plastic bag!

(I'll wait for someone who knows alot more than me to explain what dynojetting is properly, but its basically a kit to alter the carbs to let more fuel in, usually used with a K&N filter and usually required if you fit a performance exhaust)

Hi

Anything major you do is likely to affect the jetting, and fail to fiddle with the jetting and it might well run like a dog (or dangerously lean).

I would go with G, do it all at once.

A dynojet kit is a set of replacement carb parts designed to get the bike to run properly when it has been modified.

Dynojet kits are expensive for the bits you get. What you are paying for is the time spent designing the jets in the kits (mainly the needle jets).

All the best

Keith
