Well, with a heavy heart and a few tears, my bike is up for sale. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I’m going to New Zealand. For how long I dunno. So the money from the bike will go towards my adventure.

Anyway, it’s a SV650S K4 model, in candy blue. I bought the bike new from Alvins Moto-Cal in Edinburgh. It was registered on the 28th January 2005. Mine’s the only name in the V5. Currently the bike has done 5,860 miles, but if you take it as 6,100 miles as I want a good few runs before it goes! Very Happy A Scottoiler and R & G crash bungs have been fitted, both done by Alvins when I bought it. If I can find it, I’ll throw a Suzuki DB screen in too. The warranty and breakdown cover are transferable, so there is until January 2007 for the warranty and January 2006 for the AA cover. The tax expires at the end of December this year.

Overall the bike is in excellent condition. I don’t like the rain much so it doesn’t come out when it’s wet; not saying it’s never been out in the rain, just not that often. When I’m not riding it, it lives in a garage and has done since I bought it. It’s my first bike so I’ve not been hammering it and consequently the tyres are very good for the mileage. It’s had two services, one at 600 miles and one at just under 4,000. First service done by West Coast Suzuki, Irvine, and the second by Alvins Moto-Cal in Edinburgh. I’ve every bit of paperwork with the bike including the two keys. It is also HPi clear as I paid cash for it when I bought it, but if you’re serious about buying it, your more than welcome to have the reg number to run your own check. It’s also available for any inspection you might want to do (within reason).

Some minus points:-
Being my first bike, it has been dropped (it had to happen! Sad ). It was a 0mph drop onto the left hand side and done nothing more than rough up the end of the crash bung and graze the edge of the left mirror. I've also slid the bike along the road at about 15 mph on its right side. Over enthusiasm with the front brake! So I have replaced the front brake lever, rear brake lever, front right indicator and right hand bar end. The right hand leading edge of the fairing has been re-painted to a very high standard to remove the scratches caused in the accident. The only evidence left is the damage to the can, which you’ll see in the pictures.

I’ve really enjoyed my bike and had loads of fun riding it. I went 1100 miles round Ireland on it and riding for over 250 miles a day didn’t feel uncomfortable. It’s very light and very flickable (well if I had enough ability!). It’s not going to scare any sports bikes being a 650 V-twin, but it makes it up with how it sounds! And I think it sounds fantastic, even with the standard can. Would probably suit someone who’s just passed their DAS test or coming up from a 125. It’s not 33BHP restricted, but I don’t think it’s too hard to do if needed.

Not wanting to mess about, I want £3,600 for it. Sorry, but that price isn’t negotiable. If you’re coming from down south or up north then I’ll try and accommodate your travel costs. It’s going in Biketrader and Ad Trader in a week so everyone here is the first to see it and it’s more expensive in Biketrader and Ad Trader. So feel privileged!! It would be good for it to go to a BCFer so I can keep in touch with them.

There is a gallery of pictures at https://www.bikebrokeruk.co.uk/index2.htm But if you need any specific ones, need some more info or want to buy it, please let me know by PMing me first.

Ta!
