I'd say there's a fair chance a ban and a hefty fine is on the way.

So, know anyone with a big petrol angle grinder?
Or a tyre and some petrol?

Smile

You may be lucky and the film may have run out or not been in there in the first place.

ouch, hope you got a good amount of cash for a big fine Laughing shouldnt do 70 in a 30 limit anyway, a camera around my areas been burnt out, mabe a tyre and petrol job, dunno how they do it though mabe stick the tyre around the camera and fill the inside with petrol? owell chances are that if you would do something to a camera just make a note to be real quick as i think most speed cameras (especialy ones in really busy places) have cameras watching them Mr. Green burn the fucker out! Thumbs Up

70 in a 30, your own fault, deserve all you'll get (unless you have some new and interesting excuse for us...)

don't bother burning it out, digital pics, uploaded directly without film, BIG fine or even custodial sentence for attempting to pervert the course of justice

take your punishment, don't do it again, use your eyes - cameras are brightly coloured and stand out - unlike some small children walking around in 30mph zones

How much distance do you need to cover to accelerate from 30-70mph on an NSR?

Well, they have 14 days to send you a Notice of Intent to Prosecute. At that sort of speed, they will referr your case to the Procurator Fiscal for consideration. The Fiscal has three options:

1) Drop the case as not in the public interest/insufficient evidence (never going to happen)

2) Offer a fixed penalty notice in place of a court appearance. If they do this you are the luckiest man in Glasgae, bite their hand off.

3) Send you to the sherriff court on one or more charges, who will almost certainly hand down up to a handful of points, a ban for a month or so and a hefty fine. If this happens, get professional legal advice, they can help you talk it down to a shorter ban in exchange for a higher fine and suchlike.

It can take a long time between the NIP and anything else happening.

Hi,

You need to go to https://www.pepipoo.com (currently off air for maintenance but should be back later)
This is will let you know the best ways to approach things if you do get a NIP. Ensure you read it the site before you do anything.

If you were doing more than 60 then you are likely to get a ban if convicted (>30 over the limit) and are really unlikely to receive the 60quid and 3 points offer so think carefully about your options.

Really you have to wait now to see if you got seen, use the time to improve your observation skills and slow down 70 in a 30 Exclamation Tut Tut

Regards

Charlotte

Deny it was you. Tell them it was some fella test riding your bike...
Ask them for photographic proof it was you...if they cant, they're stuffed - its your word against theirs....and with no evidence...well....

NO, the no signing thing worked for one person due to a loophole in the law...that loophole has no been sorted, if you dont sign the form you can get done for other things...wasting time etc.

Yes and no.

You cannot fill the form in without signing it and you do have to provide the information requested on the form.

You can opt to write nothing but see attached on the form and write a letter with all the requested information but with extra legal text (see earlier post for full info) because you have not been cautioned it can't (subject to current cases) be used as evidence if you fill the NIp it is admission of guilt.

you have 2 choices -
- take the rap and dont argue
- spend some time reading all the relevant documentation.

Regards

You mate, are knackered! My guess, 6 month ban and £300 fine. Had a mate, 76 in a 30 and that guess ain't far off what he got.

Bad luck mate. Was it 70-ish mph indicated on your speedo ?
Your speedo over reads quite a bit since one time you reckoned my bike was doing 70mph one time you followed me (that just doesn't happen on my bike...62mph, maybe 63 at a push).

You could get lucky and just get a hefty fine. The other half doesn't fancy driving you to work when your on shifts ?
