CCM 'motard

Hi all,

Does anyone have any comments about the CCM's??

I would probably be looking at one of the rotax engined ones, but, at this stage, I'm just curious.

However, test booked for thursday, so providing I pass, I can start looking seriously.

The other option I have been looking at for a ( cheap ) supermoto is the Mz Baghira. Although theres something a bit weird about it I think.

Anyway, if anybody has any views, opinions, It would be most appreciated. Thumbs Up

Some rate them well, some wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.. I'd rather a DZR400 or WR400 if I was on a budget, but depends what sort of use the bike will get really..

I know a lad who had a CCM640e, that used the rotax engine.

Never let him down once, he must have come off it about 8 times too through pratting around, lol.

If you've got the budget and want a 'shiny' supermoto as a relative begginer, the CCMs are probably a good choice.
Won't offer much over a home made one that cost 3x less I suspect however Smile

The MZ is a grand cheaper, has better suspension, a more spohisticated engine and is better built. It isn't as 'full-on' as some of the supermotos out there and is a fair bit heavier but a more usefull everyday bike for that in my oppinion. I go touring on my MZ.

Oh, and MZ are still in business whilst CCM went bust Thinking

I freely admit to being biased.

The 450 CCM is a different animal altogether though

CCM's are a love/hate bikes. I have had mine for nearly 3 years now and have blown it up twice Crying or Very sad

I have the R30 Suzuki 644 02 model.

Base gasket blew, a known fault, apart from that no real problems so far.

I think some older models have troubles with build quality but mine not bad.
