Sad tonight i was riding home from my girlfriends when a car properly pulled out on me, not just from 10 yards away, im talking 2 metres,

i was doing 25 in a 30 as there are speed bumps and had to swerve out of the way of the car whos driver seemed oblivious to me being there!

just before people pick holes, i cocked the next bit up when i origionally posted, she stalled, then pulled over on the other side of the road as i dismounted

The driver, a young lady stalled the car and suddenly had a angry biker walking over and pointing rather nastily (i was fucking furious to say the least, avoided the bonnet by about half an inch, infact i belive my can may have hit her as there is green paint scuffs on it, only tiny ones though)

she pulls the car over as i remove the lid, and winds down the window to apologies, before i let her im into one,

"you silly fecking biatch!!!" and the such

all of a sudden she begins to cry, Sad

erm, shit what do i do me thinks!

"erm, its ok love, im just a little wound up"

apparently it was her first time driving in the dark alone since passing her test the week before.

I apologised for my aggressiveness (sp?) and went on my way

i feel so bloody guilty its unreal.

Crying or Very sad

She should have looked. She would have been proper crying if you ended up underneath her car. Maybe done her a favour in the long run.

its really bad, im one of them fella's that cant handle a crying women, its like "please be quite, heres a tenner!"

i was really impressed that she actually pulled over and said sorry. Most drivers would carry on and try not to make eye contact as you overtake and flip em one!

i felt really bad, i mean iv been pulled out on before but not having a bonnet apearing from a junction half a second before i get to it!!!

i really did think i was over the bonnet and going for a trip down gravel rash city!! i was wearing know under trousers and jeans, they will protect from impact but a long enough trip down the road will still burn through em!

You did the right thing, a good scare does nobody any harm, a connection does do body harm, so.... has 2 near miss's today, one with slit f**k eye, did nt bother to stop on circle and the other was a royal faggot mail, on exit of roundabout decided to move to right lane without looking, me on his right side rear corner, flipped up visor and swore like *****, no need for it, pure lazyness

Yeah, you done well to stop there, although you could have explained the situation to her and say "800 bikers are killed on the road each year in the UK because of car drivers doing that, think of how my family would be, my kids would be if you deprived them of their father". (I understand you're possibly young but hey! Make something up)

She'd most likely still blubber but you get your point across in a polite manner whilst you can comfort her and get her number.
*ahem*

Don't feel guilty. I don't care if she's a new driver, if she can't handle the pressure of being on the roads then she shouldn't be on them by herself, test pass or no test pass. I'm quite inclined to say she could well have been faking too, in the 'ooh if I start crying the nasty biker man will leave me alone' style.

Hopefully she's learnt her lesson and won't ever pull out without being 100% sure it's clear.

nasty biker man!! hahaha

i wear one of those oxford mouth vent things which block the bottom half of your mouth off and make you look like a fighterpilot.

im not a small guy, (bit chubby though) and i can see how this leathered up helmeted freak lobbing across the road pointing and swearing could scare someome

obviously couldnt think like this when the red mist is up!

Bet she was lying, probably be driving for years and thought she could make it out before you!!! Laughing

Ah the waterworks always work when its a burd..... Rolling Eyes

Then again, might make her think twice about pulling out on another biker.

I used to work with a bloke who's daughter had just wrote her new mini off and finished up in hospital, because she pulled out on an old truck with it's indicator flashing.
She thought it was going to turn but the driver had accidentally left the indicator on. Those old trucks used to be a real handfull, and were noisy, had totally inadequate breaks and you didn't always notice that the indicators didn't cancel themselves every time.

To me I it has always been common sense that you don't pull out if you think that a vehicle might not turn, wait until it starts the turning procedure.

could well have been telling the truth, a she stalled in the heat of the moment, but even so if shes "good enough" to pass a test shes has no real excuse, that said we've all had close calls and some of them were our fault so i think you did the right thing by giving in, shes bound to have got the message to pay more attention now.

800 bikers killed a year in this country ? is that true ? or one of the 92% of statistics that are made up on the spot ?

both mirrors, both shoulders was my car instructors mantra just cos she's passed doesnt mean she shd not bother doing it properly anymore
