Heya i posted a topic on workshop and got one reply, my bearings went yesterday in my rear bearing, costing me £50 for that, i also managed to snap a spoke, if i ride it with a snapped spoke how dodgy will it be? I have an aprilia crosser, would say a gn125 spoke me able to fit this, as the dealer doing the work is suzuki and say i have to get hold of an aprilia spoke myself for them to do it, I need it all fixed asap, as i use my motorbike for 6th form and cnt get to school without it.

Hi
Spokes are fairly common, but no idea which spoke from which Suzuki would fit the Aprilia, and do not blame the dealer for not wanting to take the risk.
While you will probably get away with a single snapped spoke they have a habit of multiplying rapidly. And you really do not want to have your wheel collapse while riding (quite possible).
All the best

Think most places would supply a set of spokes. Finding an individual one might require going to someone who re/builds wheels (such as Central Wheels). Also quite possible that it is more than one spoke that is on the way out (for example maybe the previous owner had a play and did not tighten them sufficiently).

More to the point, all things that are quite possibly going to need replacing on whatever else you buy. Wheel bearings do not last for ever but are only cheap, chains and sprockets will be even shorter lived, especially depending on how a bike is treated.
All the best

Yep, and £50 to change a wheel bearing sounds like a complete rip-off to me. Especially on a dirt bike where the wheels are a piece of piss to drop out. Job must take all of 1/2 hour with no more than a tenners worth of parts. I keep saying I am in the wrong job.
Next time, do it yourself, you could buy all the tools (brand new) and parts to do the job for £50. Advice on here is free.
Hagon or central wheels will sell you a set of spokes but you need to know what size, angle, length, nipple type and thread to make them. Best way is to send them one and ask for "32 like this please". Or send them the whole wheel for a professional respoke. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink.
