0-60mph -> R6 sub 4 seconds(3.whatever), zxr sub 5 seconds (4.35?)
Enough bhp in both.... |

An R6 would thrash a ZXR, no question about it. Even early R6s give about 95bhp at the wheel, the ZXR's 65 odd isn't a match for that.
Approx (pub talk) specs (can't be bothered to look them up)
R6
160mph
11.5s quarter mile
0-60 in around 3.2s
0-100 in around 7
ZXR
135mph
13s quarter mile
0-60 in around 4, 4.5s
0-100 in around 11, 12s.
However, who cares? ZXRs aren't about straight line ability, quarter mile sprints, etc. On paper, in relative comparison, they aren't comparable with any sportsbike of larger capacity.
Take the test to the average rider, down a decent stretch of country lanes, point to point, A-B, add in a 'smiles per miles' category, and things get a little closer. |
