The track day with Cheaptrackdays.com went really well. There were slightly less people there than could have been booked in, but this turned out better for the rest of us!

We were split into 'slow-Intermediates' and 'Fast' group. All in all, we got somewhere along the lines of 10 sessiosn, each lasting 20 minutes, so more track time than you can shake a stick at! I didn't do all the sessions, too many! lol

There was a chap from BSB there, who's name I've forgotten (due to very little sleep recently) who was absolutly red hot. Attempting to follow him into chicanes was scarey to say the least! He was backing it in everywhere!

The Revvet straight - How fast?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

The day was organised really well, the briefing was quick, to the point and relaxed, no heavy handed policing at all, but sensible rules in place. We got straight out on track with the instructors riding around spotting who might need some help! We had full access to the garages for setting up and changing wheels, not sure if this is the norm, but it definatly helps! Holbeach Tyres were there, so I managed to buy some new Bridgestone 120/190 slicks and get them fitted between sessions, all for only £210! Awesome!

All in all, it was a top day. I even got assistance in the garages changing wheels from the organiser himself between sessions! Excellent, it definatly sped things up for me.

shame my riding wasn't quite up to scratch on the day. I blame suspension setup and worn slicks (Prior to buying new ones). Cool

It is quite a fun track, the straight is very long and very quick.

And the chicanes are the fun part! Although backing it in is a little beyond me! Shocked

The garages are quite nice at Snett.

Sounds like you had a good day.

A very good day mate. Did a little off roading too! Laughing

Kept it upright though, only just! 90mph (ish) over the grass!

Hahaha, ditto, although my bike doesn't go that fast.

Nearly highsided coming out of sears and went grasstracking.
Luckily Keith wasn't photographing that bit.

I love it! Although I don't like that little bit of run off, which ideally you'd be using to get the perfect line, but the surface is suicidal.

I was riding around the outside of plenty of people round that.

But you have to get it right, or the straight is no fun at all. Personally I like the track, but again, I have nothing to compare it to.

Sears is an awesome corner, overtaking on the outside is a joy. Cool

I went off the track at sears twice, first was out braking myself, and the second was at peg down speed running into the shitty gravel type stuff and over the little kurb type thing there! Some how stayed pinned, kept it upright and wasnt overtaken!

Also came off the track at the following chicane after overtaking someone and not braking! All uprighters though!

Where did you do that?

I can remember spending ages trying to get past a mille, eventually managed to keep up at the entrance to corams, go around the outside on corams then outbrake myself and go straight on at the russels chicane as I tried to stay ahead Smile.

I also once went straight on at Russels chicnae, once got into it's right hander, hit the kerb and crossed the track there, stopping 2 inch off the tyre wall!

The left hander at the end of the long Revvet Straight, that's where I went 90mph grass tracking, took the left hander way too fast and couldn't slow down enough for the right. I was also on fresh slicks that still needed the left full scrubbing in!

Got a nice vid of me chasing dusty on our second trackday there - I think 'get my knee down for the camera' (rear facing on his bike). You see me get my knee down, then brake in a straight line and turn in when I'm about to hit the grass as I was going a tad too fast.
