My kx decided it wanted to break one of the rings yesterday.. One minute it was working fine, gave my mate a go on it and he got to the 2nd corner on the feild and it cut out.

After about 30 mins faffing about, we got it going again. Then it cut out when i was on it, just a sudden loss in power, then stalled.

Then i went to try start it today, and the kickstart was jammed. :S

So i opened her up, and i can see the top of the piston looks "pitted" if you know what i mean, its rough. Doesnt seem to have damaged anything else though from what i can see..

There was a little peice of metal that had come off the rings, about 3/4 of a cm long. But thats it.

The only problem is now im having trouble finding a replacement for it. Have rang the local bike shops up, and all but one (steves spares) didnt stock them, and wouldnt order one for me. Steve said it would be about £75/85 for a f*cking piston, because he "has to order it"!?.

I nearly choked.. *He's taking the piss* was my first thought..Rolling Eyes

So, i've just had a quick look on google, and found one for 38 quid from www.pistons-online.com, but its in america..

Im after one a little closer to home if possible.. If not then i'll have to use these i suppose...

Anyone know anywhere:?:

This guy on ebay has sold a couple of sets of topend kits so he might be able to get one for you. Good price aswell, send him an email.
