The XLR is the road going version, i.e. key ignition, instruments, indicators, taller gearing all as standard. The XR is the enduro version, shorter gearing as standard and no provisions for brake lights, ignition or any other normal road-y bits. Engines, frames, wheels and suspension are pretty much the same as far as I know. Drum / disc rear brake depends on the year I think, older ones of both had drums but more modern ones have discs. Mine is pretty ancient, 1988 vintage
Playing with the preload on the rear shock made a big difference to mine, now a lot less 'saggy'. Try winding it on some more and see how it feels ____________________ 3516 Miles, 11 Countries |
