Claimed will be about 45BHP but in reality it'll be more likely in the 30's after 20 years.

I'm on a restricted license see, and looking for my next bike, so if I bought this, for example, would I have to have it restricted? or would I have to have it tested or somthing first?

It will be definately over 33BHP/25KW.

Babyyam has a 250 version on here and I know that have about 25-27BHP and the 400 is an Inline four if I remember rightly. The same engine used in the 400 Zephyr/GPz400 and that produces about 50BHP.

Claimed bhp for my 250 Eliminator is 28, claimed for my 400 is 54.

He who knows about these things says the 250 is probably slightly under that (but he thinks mine could do better with a different-sized sprocket on it) but tbh it's not a bike for dyno-ing is it!

Even an old 400 would be well over 33 unless you put a restrictor kit on it.

However, where was it imported from? Some countries have stricter bhp regs than us (especially the European ones apparently) and it may be worth having it dyno-ed as it may already be at least partially restricted.

Hiya,

I don't know where it was imported from, i;'ve seen one on ebay is all and I thought i'd ask the pro's on here about BHP etc Smile

Babyyam, I've got the 125, how does the 250 feel in comparison? would it be a big enough 'leap' from the 125?
