Yup, the av36 is the previous rear tyre that avon produce before the current model. (AV46). Sports touring tyre.

Found this review:
Avon Azaro II AV35 & AV36 - tyre report

Tyres are def ok ... they slip a little bit from time to time otherwise I think they are wicked .. great holding although I don't really feel confident getting on the power out of the bends when really cranked over ...... bloody good tyre though, warms up fairly quickly and when racing it seems fine and dandy although as I said it does slip .. not let go, but slip on the occasional road surface change, its a little off putting but nothing that worries to much I would definitely consider buying some more, they give a cushioned feeling to the ride making the bike more comfortable to ride .. the tread pattern causes people to enquire .. so far a good tyre .. it would be nice to have a hot summers day to test properly ...

Always found the azaro st's to be exactly like this...unsettling sometimes, and I wouldn't say it warmed up quickly at all. So I'd say it all depends on wether you don't mind a slightly vague feeling sometimes... Confused Thumbs Down

My general feeling from other peoples opinion is that avons are 'ok' dry, and bloody terrible when its wet.

Treat with caution I'd say.

I've only ever heard bad about avons really.

They make ok race intermediates, but I wouldn't go for an Avon on the road.

I use avons for my bike so I can say yeah there ok
(appart from when i grab a fist full of front brake and they let go Neutral )
Can't realy go wrong for the price either, National tyres will fit for free on rims but will harge if they have to take the wheels off them selfs,
Either get someone to give you a lift there with your wheels or take a large tool kit with you and then I don't think they have a problem with people removing the wheels there. Ive seen it done if its the one in Barnsley that your on about.

Any tyre that I can't brake as hard as possible on with the front (in good conditions) I personally would avoid.
My continentals actually slid on some shell grip yesterday when I tried to do a stoppy. Not good.
