Hi guys, you're probably sick of hearing about the Chinese replica bikes that ebay is currently swamped with, but I have just bought one (before finding this site!!) and want to pick your brains.

The bike has arrived and yes, you can see where money has been saved BUT for the cost it certainly looks the part. Upside down forks etc.. and sounds fantastic.

I then rode it a couple of hundred yards (not registered yet so can't go further) and realised it has no power at all!!!! There must be some restrictors in there somewhere surely. It only revved to about 4-500rpm and just refused to rev further.

I have heard of washers being welded in exhausts on 2-strokes, restrictions in the air intake pipe on the carb, and even a plastic plug in the top of the carb to stop the carb cylinder thingy moving up to far, do these bikes have any of these restrictors. Has anyone managed to find any other restrictors in these bikes or is it exactly what it is...... a 125 that performs like a derestricted 50!!!

I have one of those Chinese POS bikes. 4 stroke and it does have a restricter in the downpipe. You'll need to cut it out and weld a new piece of pipe in to get it out though, it's wayyyy to thick to just drill through.
