Just fitted a Remus CF exhaust on the SV Drooling (pics to follow) and there was a part that came with I would just like clarified what it is. It looks like a rivet with a nail stuck in it. Am I right in thinking it's a self tapping rivet - place it in position on the baffle, knock the nail through to hold it in place, then cut the unneeded end off? Thinking

Does it look like this?

If so, it's probably a pop rivet and you will need to pull rather than push the nail bit.

If it is a pop rivet, you'll want a pop rivet gun.

That's the one, although the one I have doesn't have a bulbous tip (ooh err!) it's just straight cast. I'm sure that must be it though. Cheers.
