Possibly easier, but a tighter turning circle might make you feel like you are tipping in too far resulting in you putting your foot down. The only real difference might be from the different bite point of the clutch and amount of revs you need. What bike are you using for your test?

Should be.

On a cg, you can do a turn on about 10 - 11 feet .

My instructor took me on some ba***rd roads to do U turn on.

On the test, it was the widest road ever, I though the examiner was mad. ie you could have had 2 artics on either side no problems.

But I was lucky, best to practice on thinest roads.

Hello, On our test we had to do our u-turn in under 5.5 metres and I just went over it. It seemed really tight to me. How tight do you have to do it over in the UK? im from Oz

I had them perfected on my AR125 which has the turning circle of a Landrover Defender, so when I done them on the test centre's GN125 I could nearly turn them in half the space because you have so much extra lock.

Since their test, who has actually done a full on feet up U-turn?

My GSX-R has the turning circle of the Bismark, so i tend to do a 3 pointer, or if im really lazy, go round the block!

On my test i was asked to push the bike through a U turn before getting on it at the side of the road riding forwards a few meters, shoulder checks then U turn.

My road was as wide as the turning circle of the bike + about 6 inches

Because of this i had to apply the full turning lockof the bike in one go as quick as possible whilst as far to the left as possible and lean the bike whilst being fairl harsh with the back brake. I got around with about 2 inches to spare Shocked

Like you I practised on a sports replica (RG125), however due to not having a restriction certificate I chose to do the test on the schools CG.

I could turn the RG in the roads width easily, however I could turn the CG in half of the road!

Miraclefish: To answer your question I often do U-Turns on my SV650S. I haven't rode the bike in a few days but last tuesday I did two uturns to see if a biker by the side of the road required assistance. Fortunately he didn't as I wouldn't of known what to do anyway. That was near chorley if it was any of you guys Very Happy
