Just a quick thing I wanted to share with you.

I live right next to a large car park in town, people can park there when ever they want as a long as they pay.
I noticed a cruiser bike, not sure of the name but it is a Jap, Harley looking thing. It was parked there on Saturday in the day time, and was there Sunday morning, on Sunday I was trying to fix the bike and noticed it was still there.
Later I had to walk to my mates house over the road and past the bike, it had 3 tickets on it!? Confused Question
The bike was gone Monday morning, then last night it was there again and there this morning.

I’ve heard of police stings, could it be one of them?

Didn’t look like it was locked, I doubt a night worker would park in there again in the day and then again at night knowing the consequences.
Isn’t three tickets over 100 quid, that’s why I ask.

Depends if it's classed as entrapment?

Or is that when the police goad you into doing something you wouldn't normally do?

Not sure, I don't see why it is illegal for them to use a bike, unlocked in a position where it may get stolen, then arrest whichever poor unfortunate soul decides to take it...

Personally it shouldn't be classed as entrapment because the theif is a theif on account of having stolen the bike when he/she is arrested. However, in today's modern society of protecting the criminal - who knows.

I think entrapment would be the police going up to a bunch of chavs and saying "ooh, fancy nicking that bike over there?"

and then arresting them when they do it.

So... this could feasably be a police trap.

More likely to just be some chap leaving his bike there while he's at his gf's house or something though.

Simple.

As a concerned biker call the police and tell them there is a bike in the carpark which you think may have been stoled as its got loads of tickets on it.

Maybe you will find the answer

They have started using bait cars and bikes in this country now but i'd expect them to either use an enduro/trail type bike for the chav tea leaves or an expensive superbike for the pro thiefs.

That’s probably why it’s been there so long. Thumbs Up
