afraid not, its a year from the details that you gave them at the start and you can't change them, well apart from address but they charge for it! Shocked
anyone know how much cheaper insurance gets after you turn 25?

It does seem to make a difference, however your current insure probably won't adjust your premium. Hence why I've got my car insurance due two days after my birthday.

Does that mean that even though I have passed my test I won't get lower insurance until the year is over? I got the insurance last November, but passed my test 3 weeks ago. I only just got my licence through, which is why I haven't spoken to my insurance yet.

When I passed mine, they gave me a reduction on the policy of about £70, they said that £63 of that would be administration charges and the charge of changing my details, and they'd put the £7 back into my account... they couldn't put the £7 back as my card number (not account) had changed since i got my insurance and said that they would also keep the £7 as it would be considered money laundering by moving money back into another account and there was no other legal way to give it me back.

I cancelled the insurance (to stop them screwing me over anymore) and they still owe me about £180, not seen any of that either... apparently can take up to 6 months to get your money back.

I'd like to say the name, but they're a very very big insurance company and I dont really wanna be taken to court for explaining how they screwed me over time and time again.

When I was younger I was always told that the insurance goes down when you reach 21, at 21 I was told "actually its 25" and by the time I got to 25 I was told the big changes happen when you pass 30. Confused I'm now 34 and still waiting for the suddon drop in premium!!

In reality what I have found is that whilst age contributes, the big savings are by getting your no claims bonus up (having said that, moving from Birmingham to Derby saved £140!! but moving house is a little drastic).

Only when you start a new policy, is that price with the same company?
