Rite well I've seen on of these for sale, it has done 51k miles though but its cheap, and im looking for a trackbike but im on a tight budget.
One thing im thinking is im nearly 6ft tall and they look alittle small, anyone who owns one got any advice??, would I fit on it?, good track bike??, reliable?, good with high mileage on clock??. etc etc etc you get the idea!
Any info would be good guys!. |

Can't comment on the CBR400 as I don't have one but with 51K on the clock I hope it's cheap! On the trackday it will be getting thrashed and that would show up any weakspot in the engine for sure!
I have a VFR400 (I'm 6'2) and although it looks like a mini-moto under me it's fine on the track! I think the CBR has a lower seat height though, but you should be fine.

51000 is a lot of miles... However, my old CBR had done similar mileage and because it had been well maintained suffered from no problems.
If the bike has been looked after and serviced properly then I see no reason for it to get 'thrashed'. You'll only really notice this difference on the straights when the larger capacity bikes fly past. Shaun and I noticed very little difference between the VFR and CBR power wise, just that the CBR power is more smooth and more accessible. ____________________ Avast! Pirates ahoy!

CBR prolly doesn't stiff you £50 for a set of plugs too!
Power wise they're about the same, but Honda built the VFR as an upgraded CBR and they didn't really worry about the cost, hence the beam frame, 4 pot brakes and a £6300 asking price when new (as much as a good 600 back then).
The CBR will be easier and more afforable to keep running as well, when the bottom end went in my VFR it was cheaper to source another complete motor than rebuild it!
Here endeth the history lesson! ____________________ aKa: Ducky |

Is it a NC23 and NC29?
I saw a whole NC23 motor go on Ebay for £6.50 Shame it was so far away, I would have had it for a spare.
Any CBR parts you will ever need can be gotten from a man called Graeme France. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |
