My g/f came up with a question today that stumped me...

What liscence do you need to ride a trike?

I assume that you need a car liscence...?

Also on a different note, can someone please clear up something for me and a mate. You cannot drive a "Smart Car" on a bike liscence now, can you...?

No, a Smart car is a car with a jet bike engine, elthough it is still classified as a car.

Trike licences come under bike licences, don't they?

Depends on the weight of the trike I think.

bike license if its under a certain weight, and does not have reverse.

car license if it's over that weight and has reverse.

but if you get a car engine (with reverse) and want to ride the trike on a bike license. just put a "gate" over the reverse gear so it goes through as a bike/Trike.

then take the gate off Twisted Evil

[quote]These can realistically vary from a humble 250cc bike engined trike, all the way up to a growling, car engined V12 monster[\quote]

All trikes are now classified as B1, so you need a car license (boo hoo)
