Hi, i dont want this to turn into a flaming because frankly its pathetic, but im genuinely interested at what you have been pulled over doing, and whether you got away/less then you should have got?

Me personally, a couple of days ago, got pulled after have a short blip to about 80, partly on one wheel in a 30 (and shh!!! it should blatantly be a 40... its a dually and was empty) then slow down again. Pulled over in a bus stop, got my wrist slapped and answered the questions well (what did i pull you for... *ernestly* i was being a twat) and got let on my way.

In my defence he never said i was being dangerous or uncrontrolled, just wrong time and place, coulda been attacked by a fiesta etc.

How about you guys? I know G man got away with wheelying from his avatar...

I don't get caught, because i don't do it where police will be. One of the advantages of off-roading i think. Wink

Unless i see the off-road police that is (rarely) , then they normally tell me to piss off as it's private/council property ect ect. Rolling Eyes

I know a lady who got pulled in a Porshe 924 on the motorway.
She was clocked at......124.9mph!!!

Flick of the blonde hair, burst into tears, and a sob story about her sister being rushed into hospital got her a police escort, with lights, to the nearest motorway junction!!!

Women eh!

I didn't get let off. I got given a 'public nusiance order' against me.

It said I was endangering the public or making excess noise.
I was wheeling towards a broken gate in a car park, no other people or bikes around. I had road legal can on and wasn't at the redline.

I was very lucky with charges of 119mph+Dangerous Driving+No Mot+Dodgy tyres/head light.

I was less lucky after the car accident and got done for Dangerous tyres. I believe I was probably innocent, but couldn't afford to try and defend myself.

I was let-off after being caught fair and square doing 60 in a 30 zone.

Two bike coppers, let me off with a smack across the back of the head from his book of tickets and a 'Don't do that again.'.

35 in a 30 zone.

The undercover cop said "I wouldn't normally bother but I'm bored and have nothing better to do"

That was on a Yamaha SR125 Thumbs Up

OT a bit, if an undercover car flashes it's lights at you, what happens if you don't stop? Surely anyone with a set of blue flashy lights can fit them discretely to his car and go around flashing them when he feels like it? Looking back on what happened when I got pulled over, the guy never shown me any ID or anything like that, he could have been anyone.

That sounds dodgy to me. I always thought the copper had to be wearing uniform (complete with hat) to stop people for traffic offences.

Maybe I'm wrong.

67 in a 40 about three months ago.

Was told "Bloody well slow down!"

Couldn't really argue with that! Laughing

Once upon a time I ripped down the purley way on a gsxr with what the policeman described as, an elevated front wheel. He eventually caught me red faced and blew his top, he actually called me a f'in lunatic.

Went to court and after a bit of brown tongue got let off with 60 quid court costs and the event kept on record for two years.
I was very lucky indeed.

Never been pulled fingers crossed.

We did have an undercover meat wagon flash its blues at us the other day though.

4 of us had just done a KD lap of a roundabout, all went for the same exit, all cracked it open. The ZX6-r blasted off at 1xxmph, myself, paulodd on his er-5 and a mate of mine on an SRAD.

It wasn't safe to pull over where we were, so we didn't. We pulled over somewhere, he just carried on going but gave us an evil look.

I think it was a 'steady on lads' kind of lights flash.

I got let off after I got caught doing approximatley 130mph. Fortunately the nice police man was due to go for his tea break and didn't want the hassle of booking five bikers.

I was pulled over and had an illegal exhaust, irridium visor, front indicators were hanging off with no bulbs in, my back light was out and at the time my GSXR had no restrictors.

The only thing mentioned was the exhaust. No "Not for road use" therefore no ticket. Laughing

When he pulled me (police bike) i asked why and he said becuase of suspicious documents. I was like WTF but i was pleasant to him anyway.

Sounds like some of you people have been lucky. Maybe not all traffic police are so bad, eh?

A few months ago me and my brother were doing 60 in a 30 it was about 11 had my mate on the back.

There was a van waiting in a lay by for someone to do somthing stupid and there we were.

We only got a slap on the wrist and were told to "slow down abit i know its fun"

Lucky they were not in a bad mood or anything or that could have been a fare few points off my license.

Thumbs Up

Got nothing more than a telling off and a "your teachers wouldn't be happy if they knew you got up to this in your lunchtime...."

What were we doing? I was hitting 50 in a 30 zone and my mate was pushing 90.

I've been pulled 5 times so far got away with three other two not so lucky

1) Caught with a pillion 3 points £60 fine - free ride in a fuzz car for the missus - traffic cop car

2) doing about 45-50 in a 30 traffic cop car did the quickest U turn ever but luckily I had yanked on the anchors and got down to a descent speed - pulled me and told me ' you know aswell as i do that that was damn write stupid and that I could have injured someone' - on an empty road? then gave me a fixed penalty for broken no. plate

3) had just fixed the exhaust on a mates bike who lived at the end of my street approx 300m away started it up moved onto the road astride the bike and a patrol car stopped me suspecting the bike was stolen, I then had to ring my mate and explain i was fixing his bike, then got lectured on insurance

4) Got pulled by a traffic cop car in a dodgy estate he suspected the bike stolen, after finding i was the owner and insured he then did me a fixed £30 penaulty for mini number plate

5) doing a burnout in a car park and despite having about 10 mates about no one told me that a cop car had pulled up infront whilst i was watching the tyre smoke, i got a talking too about how i could have lost control and the bike could have veered of and seriously injured someone

police are general assholes but dont get me wrong their are a couple of descent ones that understand were only human and dont do us for cracked registration plates etc

The copper had my number plate.... rode to my house and got my mobile number off my parents, then rang me telling me to come down to the station with or without a solicitor..

I got let off due to his speed omiter being faulty Cool

out of curiosity...why did you rate the thread boring then post in it? I know you can be a bit of an arsehole, but that doesnt even make any sense what soever.

The main point, as i think has been proved, is that overall, alot of us have got VERY lucky many times. i just wanted to check really.

On my old ZXR750, went down slip road onto the M25, past an FZR1000, onto motorway and settled at a steady 100 (late weekday night, very clear). Anyway, in the inside lane at said speed, looked in my mirror and saw a bike headlight approaching, just thought "that'll be the FZR playing catch up!".

Was just about to come past me, only it didnt! So I look across, and almost poop myself as I see mr policeman on his BMW bike right next to me, cruising at 100mph!!!!! He signals for me to slow down so I do, and he shoots off, how feckin lucky was that!!!! Shocked
