Who makes decent bike covers? I need one for a 125cc bike as it's not going to be garaged from now Sad

Not sure about the make... can check that when I get home, but I use a breathable cover on my gixxer.

Looks a bit like a space blanket. Shinneeeeyyy!!!! Dance!

Cost me about £40 i think.

I'll find the manufacturer when I get home, and take a picture for you. Thumbs Up

The ones from Halfords are ok. It's about £22 for a medium one that fit bikes up to 500cc.

Oxford make different sized ones, so you would be able to get a smaller cover for your 125 as a standard cover would be far too large and flap about.

Make sure you get a breathable one Thumbs Up
They are worth the extra cost.

Yeah I've seen the 500cc one at Halfords, wasn't sure if it'd be too big, going to Halfords today to pick up some tools (torque wrench, sockets, spanners etc) so I will have a look.

i have 2 both oxford ones

AQUATEX - thin light weight can squash into a bag and take with you if your going anywhere, easy to put on the bike and cost me a tenner, this is the one i use most.

I think the others a RAINEX its a lot thicker wont fold down very well at all harder to put on your bike especially in wind but it does have 2 holes for chains to go through.

Hein Gericke do a silver one with a soft inner lining. It feels a bit like a space blanket. I don't know the make/name but if you ask it should be available (it probably will not be the standard one they show you if you ask for a bike cover). It's served me well, hasn't torn and I've put it on a warm bike ok. I'd recommend it.

The other covers I've tried have been the more solid plasic covers and these have always split or melted requiring gaffa tape to repair. This includes the heavy duty Hein Gericke one. However, having said that a crappy cover can be a good disguise as people tend to assume crappy bike under it. Don't get one with a manufacturers name or logo on it, that just shouts "please steal me".

For a really good bike cover I've been recommended the Oxford Stormex. For a good price on these try eBay or shows like the BMF tailend (17-18 Sept at Peterborough showground) or the motorcycle show at the NEC (29 oct to 6 nov).

HTH Thumbs Up

Bike cover pictures as promised. Even took one of the label so you can see the manufacturer etc.

I have a medium cover, which fits my GSXR600 perfectly.

Nice, although it does make your bike look like a small horse.
