Ok here I go this will be a longen I think.

I got my black zx7r about 5 months ago and from the moment I got it putting it in the brick build shed has been a nightmare. I got it delivered from my dads in my dads van took it to work. Come home and the bike didnt fit where I thought it would. The bike was too wide for the opening doorway to my shed.

So I store at a friends hose for 2 days whilst I fit an unltra secure home made door with coach bolts etc etc. Anyway I then get the bike to fit all is fine I am happy.

A few months later I am moving my bike sat on it with the engine on in the comunial area and one of the old female neighbors apperas acts shocked and rings the council to complain about me moving my bike about. At this point I may add there are 8 FLATS me and the mrs are the only people to own one lease hold and the sheds are behind the flats and bike has to be pushed across comunal ground to the road or shed.

I get a call from the council and they tell me I cant ride my bike around. I explain its a 200kg bike not the easiest to push hence why I was sat on it and that I do not ride it. This is accepted and its agreed I can carry on. At all point over the last 5 months I have been told I can use my shed and put the bike in it and move to and from it sat on my bike whilst it warms up as long as not in gear!!!!

Anyway a few days later I speak with the neighbor who complained explaining how I have permission and sorry if I sacred her. She throws a bucket of water over me calling me a trouble making shit who should be on brat camp. Now this is assult I warn her of this and she is like 80ish so she dont give 2 shits. Apparenlt me being 21 and owning a flat, a bike and a car makes me scum. Just because I am not claiming everything off the council.

Several more incodents like this occur aguments and abuse form the same neighbor and one other who is always dumping rare meet behind the sheds inticing foxes and rats. The gentleman is 87. He also did not attend a communal meeting which all neighbours attended and it was agrred I could move my bike around as much as I want!!!!!!!!1

One sunday I come back form a very quick ride adrenalyn pumping. This 87 year old man squares upto me threatening me saying he is going to hit me if I keep riding around the communal ground. At this point I am pushing the bike whilst sat on with the engine on. I called the police about this and they arrived advising me I need a letter from the council confirming I can move my bike around. They cautioned the old man. I called the council and recieved a letter today.

This letters states I must move my bike from my shed and it cannot be stored in there according to my lease which states no use of motor vehicles on the property!!! Yet I am not using it I am pushing it whilst sat on it!!!!!!!!!! But they offer to rent me a garage 2 rpads away for the sum of £42 a month!!!! Yet I pay them maintainence, council tax and ground rent already!!!!

WHY CANT I USE MY GARAGE!!!!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad Shocked Confused Thumbs Down

Do you have a copy of your lease? If so what exactly does it say with regards to this?

Also, I would consider keeping a record of all the threats from your neighbours. It doesn't matter how old they are, they have no right t act this way. You might find that you have grounds for them to have ASBOs taken out against them.

If there are no bikes allowed on the property it looks like you're screwed, however the old people are clearly making trouble for the sake of it and are being typically shitty.

You could always appeal for an allowance to be made? I'm not sure of the legal side of it.

Someone here had a very similar problem (if it wasn't you) so maybe they can help or point you in the right direction.

Anyway bad luck, is it not suitable to lock it up outside the building?

Well I realise it's inconvenient, but you could push it without the engine turned on. This way the oldies don't really know, the council can't complain about you riding the bike on the property (ie engine on and you on it) and you get to keep it in the shed?

I'm afraid most old people are like that. I get continuous complaints from the moaning old bastards around me. In fact i had the coppers knocking on my door on monday saying they have been informed one of my cars hasn't been moved for a while. "So what?" i said, "it's taxed, insured and mot'd, whats the problem". "Oh no problem sir, we just had a complaint from one of your neighbours but we can see it's fully legal, sorry to trouble you".

I know they won the war for us but it's hard to believe some of these moaning bitter people were ever young once. They seem to resent anyone young having fun.

I used to try my best to be considerate to the neighbours but after all the shit i've had i just don't give a damn now. I keep everything legal and above board so that there is nothing they can do.

I'm afraid you seem to be at the mercy of the wording of your lease. It's not worth getting kicked out of your home for.

I feel for you mate I really do.

I have a neighbour who complains to the council about me as well.

The latest complaint was that I throw my unbagged rubbish onto my front and attract rats as well as drive my motorcycles across her garden.

The truth is I have her on CCTV sweeping rubbish onto my front and her garden has a 3 foot wooden fence around it so I might have a little trouble getting the Blade in there.

The rest of the neighbours are diamonds, I always help if their cars break down, I give the fruit off my tree to the Asian family opposite as their kids love the pears. The last time we had noisy students living in the street I sorted the problem with the help of a sledge-hammer yet this one neighbour hates me, she insists that I run for the council as before she died my Mum was the leader adn everytime I refuse I know I will have a complaint letter within a fortnight from the council.

I built a new workshop in my garden at the beginning of the year so I could sort out my many bikes and she tried to tell the council I needed planning permission, she also tried to get me to buy her a new shed as she was envious, envious of a fúcking shed Shocked

Sometimes we have to put up with this shit as the price of not living in the middle of nowhere, sometimes the price is to high.

On topic agree with the other post that you need to have a look at the lease. However, you did inform the council of the matter. Ok, not in writing but you did tell them. I'm also not sure if I'd use this but you may remember sending a letter telling them of your storage and that if you didn't receive anything contary in 14 days then the council would accept it was ok (I'm sure you have a copy on your computer Wink).

HTH Thumbs Up

I had nearly the same problem but my neighbour from hell WAS a drunk, scratched my car once cos I wouldnt give her fags, bought full on CCTV system cos I knew it would get worse and caught her doing it twice, the police acted and charged her, found guilty on two accounts in my favour..now the insurance is fighting to get the money and it seems she wont pay, no problem, revenge is sweet and I will see to it that the damage of £550 to my car is doubled when Mr Karma makes a visit.... I she she now has a new car....

Wtf is wrong with some people.

If she's causing you this much hassle, don't let her get away with it, is it that hard? Make her life a living hell, hell, vandalise, do whatever, get the daft old biddy back. The old man, well, smack him one if he;'s provoking you verbally and about to, physically. Of course, always, always try the nice way firstly, apologetically, reasoning with them etc. But if things don't improve....do something about it other than complain. Thumbs Down

She chucked a bucket of water over you...ring her doorbell one night, she opens it, chuck water over her and leg it....she'll know it was you but you'll be wearing a balaclava and you#'ll have legged it before she get's a chance to open her eyes.

Man or woman, you get treated the same from me. Smile I'd go nuts in that situation, I'm a wuss when it comes to fighting, you could blow me over but hell, I'll stand up for myself. Rolling Eyes

Stories like these make me glad to have the neighbours I do. Where I live its a poorish area with respectable asian families and a few crazy chavs. The chavs are nice enough when you chat to them a bit, they just are a bit inconsiderate sometimes loud music etc. Fortunately if anyone was gonna get annoyed about me warming up my bike it wd be them due to where i keep my bike and where their house is, but as they are noisy themselves, I dont think they mind.

I'm tempted to do some random act of generosity to my neighbours as a thankyou for them but this wd be a bit odd.

For tarche, try not to lose your cool with your neighbours or the council. I dont think you neighbours are worth reasoning with so avoid them where possible. With the council it might be worth trying to reason with them a bit. For a quiet life, Id be tempted to push the bike with the engine off or even walk alongside it with engine on, hand on throttle if its a real pain to push. That way its clear you arent riding it.

Respect to ZZRman for recording his naughty neighbour.
