Right. If i take my test on a 125cc bike i can then ride a 33bhp bike for 2 years, yes ?
i have just been looking on autotrader and there are 500's that are 33bhp
i thought they would have much more than that.

If you're 17 or over then you can take the A2 test (on a 120-125cc bike I think) and you can then ride any bike restricted to 33bhp (or producing less) for 2 years, after which you can ride any bike.

If you're over 21 you can take direct acess and then ride any bike of any power.

Hi

GPZ500S is a claimed 60hp as standard. Reality is that Charlottes one managed 45hp at the back wheel, so they do not require that much restriction.

All the best

Keith

My GPZ500 is restricted, reacts quite well to it, power is smooth right up the rev range.

Mine was 54bhp at the back wheel (59bhp at the crank) though, Razz.

Unlike a standard, full power one which goes from a thumpy cruise, through a big flat-spot before proceeding to a manic burst of looney-tunes screaming acceleration at the top end.

I have just bought a gpz500s,

restricted it and got it back today costing £170 for fitting and the kit.

you can restrict pretty much any bike. just whether you can insure it.

good luck with the test
