Oh yeah?
Try going from a pair of squared tyres to a pair of new ones!

Honestly couldn't believe the difference it makes to the feel of the bike.
I've never had a fresh set before so this'll probably be a huge confidence boost to me once they're worn in.

You'll find that your bike will seem to "fall" into the corners now. Thumbs Up

BTW - you CANNOT ride a bike round a corner at over 30mph without countersteering.

People often describe cornering a bike in terms of "leaning into the corner".
Leaning into a corner puts pressure on the inside handlebar, which inturn countersteers.

I've tried changing the topic title to include a " instead of a & but when submitting it changes back. Confused

I totally understand countersteering and how we all do it naturally - I was just commenting on different it all feels with round tyres!

It feels like the backs turning in before the front, but that's all normal I'm sure - just a case of getting used to it. The tryes are matched and the correct size after all.

The actual speed at which Gyroscopic Precession takes over is close to six mph Smile.

When i replaced my front tyre, everytime i leaned into a bend it felt like it weas just falling in, rather than me forcing it.

True, but at slow speeds you can lean the bike over with your weight alone - without using countersteering. Try it! Very Happy

I know how you feel - put some BT014s on my bike about a month ago, the first new set I'd had. Previously had a Michelin front and Dunlop rear. The difference amazed me! Mr. Green

Until then I'd never felt too happy in corners, and as it's my first bike I didn't know if it was just me imagining a problem. Now you can really chuck it in and the bike grips and grips.
