Ones got fairing so will be comfy at speed and the other can look alot cooler.

Just think to yourself how many on here have had GSXF's and how many have had Bandits.

Neither will set the world on fire. Both make reasonable first big bikes.

Bandit build quality is dire, but then teapot build quality is probably not great but hidden behind the plastics.

Engines are virtually the same (basically a sleived down early GSXR750 engine).

If you're doing the mileage then the GSXF would be a much better choice. Its a good bike imo, just a little, ugly!

Nooooo! Not the teapot (sorry to any owners out there).

If you're looking at a Suzuki, go have a look at SV650 or something. Bundles of fun, great modificationisability, great sound (when you get rid of that standard can), good handler, frugal, quite a few good examples around.

Argghh not meaning to have a dig, but this must be the 5th or 6th thread i've seen you ask about different bikes. I know you want to get the best one for your needs etc.. But they have all been different bikes completely, first an R1, then commuter scooters now gsxf600's and now you've mentioned sports 600's. Surely you must have some tiny idea of what you want?
Just go and bloody buy a bike!!!

well if u are moaning now, its gonna get worse, cos i plan to test ride 20 bikes b4 i buy anything, and even then i might decide i like my rs best

i know some people just buy their next bike on auto pilot and just get what other ppl they know have but i'm different.

for me half the fun of having a full license will be finding out what kind of bike i like. and finding out about lots of different bikes.

ive just got my car license and ive just got my bike license. i cant buy a lamborgini but i could buy an r1 so bikes are pretty amazing and i could get some amazing machinery for not too much. this is pretty exciting stuff.

if i do get a flash bike it probably wont be until march so there is gonna be lots more of me asking ppl how two similar bikes compare.

i dont think im gonna test ride every bike there is so i value other ppls opinions.

I've got a 98 GSX600F, I wouldn't like to have to go back to an unfaired bike again - buffeting and wind resistance above 60 make them hard work.

There's nothing spectacular about the GSXF, it's comfortable for mile-munching and commuting, 1 or 2 up. People either like or hate the styling but WGAF about what other people think? Mpg is pretty good and the insurance group is low.

I reckon it's a good choice for a 1st 600 for a couple of years while you're saving up for a Gixxer/ R6/Ninja.

I'd have another one - a 750 next time though.

I had a GSX600F, quite enjoyed owning it.

Had more than enough power to propel me up to 140MPH, and with decent brake pads (Carbone Lorraine A3+ Sintereds) and Braided hoses is stopped bloody quickly too.

The GSXF is a very underated bike, though mine had a slight fuelling problem where it'd munch through 20 litres of petrol in about 80 miles if ridden hard!
