Tell your mates to STFU and do what you want! As long as you take it easy to begin and get to know the bike you won't have any problems. I found that the bigger the engine the easier it is to ride and the safer and more sensible I am on it. The smaller the engine, the more I need to rev it, the more likely I am to ride like a nut case!

Be sensible! Thumbs Up

I wouldnt worry mate im 19 started on a rs50 then a mito then a gs500e (slower than the mito) then a gsxr 7/11 (1100) streetfighter and apart from getting used to the weight ive had no problems the power on them is very controllable but still lots of it mines 146bhp according to previous owner has a full scorpion system stealth oil cooler dyno coils dyno jet stage 3 and k&n pods.

Much as i love a gixer, the old ones aren't much to write home about, especially by more modern standards.
But then i don't like oil cooling, or up and over frames. Probably best you buy an SRAD600, much like the one i have for sale.
