Why would he be kidding?

I don't see the big deal with carring large amounts of cash. unless you're waving it about then nobodys going to know are they? When I got a bank loan a while ago I took it out 16K in cash and walked 2 mile home through the supposedly bad area I live in.

IMO you're much more likely to get robbed whilst you're chatting away on a mobile phone worth hundreds of pounds.
