Objects thrown at you whilst riding ....

Have you had objects thrown at you wilst riding you bike?

I have twice and I only been riding a couple of months.... one was a stone I think which hit me, There where kids hiding behind a bush and when I turned round it took me ages to find them, I was just about to go when I saw a group of em prettending to sit and chat so I asked them which one of them threw it at me and they said none of them, So I just gave them a caution

Another was a little slag on a bike who threw a bottle and missed me even lough I was doing about 20mph at the time, By the time I turned round she had ridden off somewhere..

Is this a normal thing or am I doing somthing wrong? I don't look ridiculous when I ride my bike, My bike looks nice, Its a sportsbike type.. It don't sound stupid. And if you have had object thrown at you what did you do ( If anything at all )

I have had 2 little kids throw a sweet at me (a malteaser or somthing) . I didn't feel a thing and just carried on.

In your case, I would have just given the finger then continued on my way.

Ive had a coke can thrown at me by a car driver, took a fairly large chunk out the plastic of me old lid.
A copper just behind us saw the incident and pulled me and the chap over and he got 3 points

Once when riding past a chavy school field, i had at least 20 snow balls thrown at me at the same time by a bunch of kids. Not one of them actually hit me!

I got a story of a road in a little city called Gastonia its like 20 miles from charlotte were i live, there 2 oppisite gangs that live across the street from one another the CRIPS and the BLOODS not these aint no chav's these are the real shit. the other night i was getting a lift home from work with my mum, (bikes off the road at the moment) and as we came into the top of my village 2 kids were holding a rope across the road and lifting it over cars as the passed. Now a ford fiesta is only like 5 foot tall, a 6 footer on a touring bike is a iccle bit taller!

i wanted my mum to pull over so i could find out who it was and beat them but she wouldnt, damn woman! i was fuming that at that time i would be riding the same roads if the bike hadnt gone pop!

Ive had people shouting at me and my mate before somewhere near west clandon (near boxhill) long story short we got off our bikes and started walking up to them, as soon as they saw the large knife pertruding from one of our hands they sharply turned and ran. Dirty little pikey chavy cunts.

My friend had a pushbike frame chucked at him a few months back It hit him at 30mph, probably more if you include the speed the frame was going. It did some pretty major damage to his arm and the bike when he fell off, then the chavvy scum proceeded to try and rob him

this is very dangerous and angers me! people could get and have been killed having had something thrown at them while on a bike.

Some lads in a Pimped fiat panda (yep, I laughed at that!) threw BB balls out of their window as I was drawing up to a roundabout! Fortunately, I missed them and as I was wearing my foggy they didn't get the benefit of what I was saying!!!! On hindsight, I think I would have liked to discreetly followed them; waited for them to park up and leave and then dismantle the whale tail on the top just enough to see whether it really could fly when they pulled away again - or is that just twisted little me?
