Not literally gone, it's still there, well, some of it's there and the rest is spread over about 3000 miles of tarmac with some bigger lumps from burnouts...

But yeah, tyre's squared off, and i noticed the other day that it's started to crack in the centre and at one point the radial belt is starting to show.

Obviously I've taken it off the road. My question is, am I safe to pootle to the bike shop on the tyre? Or do i have to get it collected.

And for bonus points, what would you reccomend as best tyres for a GSX-R600K1, I have pirellis on there now, no problems, i do ride in all weathers and year-round.

Thanks all

just take the rear wheel off and carry it to the shop, they will only charge to do it for you.

And stick with the tires you know and trust in my opinion.

Hmm don't fancy leaving the bike without a tyre, it's not garaged.

I'd happily pootle it to the shop. A little belt is showing, doesn't mean the whole tyre has turned into a lump of ice.

The other day I was getting my tyres changed, so decided to learn donuts before I did.

I stopped when I noticed several bits of tread had come off and the carcass was showing (about the area of a £5 note for the biggest one I reckon).

Rode it home no problems, just took it easy.
