I am looking at buying a high level exhaust for my bike and am concerned as i have heard that the pipework can melt your boots and the pillion's on your bike. Is this true or does this only happen for certain models? Does it often increase the insurance premium aswell, i am with Carole Nash! (Only quote i received under £1000)

I have no problems with heat on mine at all. It doesn't leave alot of room for your foot when my toes are on the pegs but that might just me my model.
