Yes they really are, they are expensive but you can actually really do some nice blending with them.

Yes, I've been looking at prismacolor pencils, and they are quite pricey. Wasn't sure though. I'm after some good quality pencils so that I can get back into my drawing again properly. If buying them though, I'd get them off eBay, much cheaper.

I don't buy them in the sets. You can get them individually so I just buy for what my project is. There is a site I think it's Dick Blick.com or something like that. The prices there are much cheaper than anyplace else I've seen them.

eevrything on that picture is virtually perfect. the front wheel looks odd for some reason not sure, but that is one sexy drawing Thumbs Up

Very immpresive, is that just pencils then ? No markers ?
How do you go about starting a drawing like that, steps to get it that good if you don't mind me asking ( 2nd year engineering product design student ) so any tips etc would be great Thumbs Up

Edit, on the motogp gallery, is the 2nd pic down, with rossi going underneath Gib on the last corner on Jerez? where Gib ended up in the dirt??
