I'm not sure if this should be in the workshop, if so my humble apologies admin. anyway for those not in the know i've got a Honda Bros 400 and i was hoping someone either whose had one or a general walking reference manual (e.g. kickstart) can tell me if its normal for the bike to be snatchy on the throttle. what i mean it it lurches when you roll off the throttle, it almost feels like a 2 stroke where they get arsey if you roll off the throttle just before or in the power band.

the bike idles at about 1,500 to 1700 when its hot, i've tried turning it down but the lurching is even worse. Its not that much of an issue that its unrideable just one those things that would be great if it was a simple tuning fix

Any ideas

At any speed/enginespeed? My Bros is very lurchy below 3k rpm, but above that it's smoothe enough.

Maybe your cushdrive is totally worn out?

Might be an idea to balance the carbs?
