Right, I'm sure you don't remember but I had a little spill on my bike back in May and did about £1,000 of damage. It's still not resolved and its getting on my nerves!!

Anyway, I have been speaking to a well known bike garage in London and they are prepapred to take the bike off my hands and p/ex for a brand new one. The deal is quite reasonable and I'm tempted....however interested to hear what people's opinions are of the new Fazer. I currently ride an 'old' (2002) Fazer and have read mixed reviews. I am not a knee down type person - just a commuter - round the North Circular in London - everyday, so need something reliable, with good brakes!! Interested to hear anyone's views.....

I have to decide by tomorrow morning to take advantage of a good finance deal so no pressure!! Shocked

Cheers H

I haven't ridden one, but if I had the choice, I'd go for an older version; I prefer the looks (apart from the ant-antennae mirrors), better engine, better practicality (you won't melt luggage on underseat exhausts, center stand, better midrange...), and probably cheaper.

I do like the looks of the new fazer, but from what i've heard they aren't great. You can buy a centre stand kit for the new one, but if i were you, i'd just get a suzuki sv650 instead...

All the test I read seemed to rate the older generations of Fazer above the newer one due to the engine characteristics. A case of testing them back to back is probably in order.
