What is the best way to clean an oil filter so i can use it again

If it is a wire gauze one, wash it in a solvent like petrol then blast it through with compressed air. Or give it a good squirt over with an aerosol carb/brake cleaner. You should be able to see when it is clean.

If it is a paper one, throw it in the bin and buy a new one you crazy fool!
