How you want it??

Don't you want a bike that steers as a bike should??!! Wink

Suspension upgrades aside, that's a rather fetching looking bike. Almost bought the exact same model, but thankfully the salesman couldn't get the bike ready for me within the time period I wanted it.

I was going to say get fairing lowers but looking at it with the belly pan and radiator things, it looks smart.

What is the smallest legal plate? And where did you get it? (my hornet needs one).

I'd go for a quill T3 exhaust for that one. £240 I think they are.

Messing around with the suspension on a K3+ (which is a lot better anyway than the curvy SV's) without knowing fully what you are doing will invite major tank slappers...

As to lower's... everyone add's lowers and the SV is quite long and slim so lowers in my view make it look stretched. Beside's from also looking 'stuck on', why would you want to cover up that unique frame?

The smallest legal plate (i'm told) is 20 x 15cm and must have a 1cm edge all around. Still looks quite small yet doesn't attract attention. I got mine made up at a stand in Squire's Cafe Meet.

I'm not an SV fan, and I will go as far as to say I actually dislike the curvy tubular framed ones.

But that, my friend, is stunning.

I love the K model SV's don't understand why so many people hate them, the originals, now they were ugly.

Bah, the standard sv's are as iconic as the original R1's. (to me, ahem)

There is of course, this big divide who likes what better....pointy or curvy. I would have to say the main deciding point for me was the clocks. They're awful on the pointies. The rest however... Drooling Clapping

Extreme3d (is it james?), what can are you planning on? There are some good sound clips on the sv650.org site. Quill or remus for me, based on those clips. Thumbs Up

How can you stand the damn downpipe exposed down the bottom like that! They look like a damn mini moto.

I hate them with a passion. Fully faired one is a slightly different matter.

Bah, they get me all riled up.

Laughing

I do agree though, I had to have the full faired jobbie on my curvy. If the deal didn't come with them, I would have bought them.

Yes it's Bond....James Bond Laughing

Might well leave the standard can on for the forseeable future as i have to get up at 5am for work and don't want to disturb anyone. Also the K3+ is injection and it really does need to be set-up correctly or it won't thank you for it!!

Poor excuses?? Ok ok... I admit I quite like the sound the standard can makes Embarassed

m8, they are the same bike, the lower fairing is available as an upgrade kit , not purchased as one or the other:

The remus revolution is remarkably quiet with the baffle in, I had mine in for a trial run and was actually quite impressed with the sound, even my dad complimented it (he likes quiet things Confused)

Then when you want to drown out dodsi's whinges of him wanting a faster bike, you can tkae the baffle out....Wink
